Abby is a ten year old owner surrender in the Denver metro area that is looking for  a new home.  Changes in family dynamics, financial issues and allergies are forcing the family to look for  a new home for this cutie in her senior years.

Abby is spayed, crate trained, house trained, and leash trained.  The rescue will ensure that she is up to date on her vaccinations and will microchip her for you.  She has had obedience and home training and knows several commands.   Abby would make a great companion for a family without young children.

Harley Henry Allen is an nine year old tan and white parti-colored male Cocker Spaniel. His owner is surrendering him due to health reasons and hopes that someone will give Harley the home he deserves!

Harley loves to run and, before his owner got sick, would go for walks with him every day. They went fishing together and even went hunting. Because of his hunting experience, he’s not scared of loud noises like firecrackers or thunder! He’s great with kids and other pets. He has been known to jump short fences, so his new owner will need to have at least a 6 foot fence. He’s not a big barker, but will join in if other dogs get him going. He’s good with the groomer, is neutered, house trained and up to date on his vaccinations.

Oreo is around eight and a half years old and is a Cockapoo. She is looking for a new home. As she has aged, she’s become less tolerant of the kids in the home and has snapped at them. She’s hoping that her new home will be a comfortable place to relax and enjoy! She currently lives with a cat and says that’s OK – they are best friends! She should not go to a home with young children.

Oreo is black with a white chest and chin and is slightly more Poodle than Cocker. She’s spayed, house trained and crate trained although she doesn’t really care for the kennel. She has had obedience training and knows several commands as well as how to shake and roll over. RMCR will ensure that she is up to date on her vaccinations and that she is microchipped.

Chrysy (short for Chrysanthemum) is almost eight years old and is finding herself looking for a new home. Her owner, who has had her since she was a puppy, has had to move into senior housing. The transition from a house with a big yard to a small apartment has been difficult on Chrysy. She’s black and white and weighs around 30 pounds.

Chrysy is spayed and fully vetted. She had a lumpectomy about five years ago, but has not had a recurrence. She is crate trained and leash trained. She’s initially wary of other dogs, but warms up quickly. She enjoys attention from humans and prefers to be close by, sometimes even resting her head on her owner’s feet. She loves playing with her stuffed toys, especially when someone with thrown them so that she can retrieve. She is a very gentle play pal.

Chrysy sounds like the perfect dog for a quiet home, preferably without young children. Chrysy’s temporary home before coming to us had 2 cats and she did very well with them, if anything, they teased her. She is a very sweet lady and would love to be your lap warmer. She is also adept at managing a dog door as well and barks very little.

This little cutie’s name is Aspen.  She’s a Cockapoo and is around four and a half years old and weighs around 20 pounds.  She is an owner surrender due to the fact that there have been changes in family dynamics and she’s not getting the attention she deserves. 

 Her owner thinks she would be best with a couple or single person who can devote their undivided love and time to her.  She is a sweet gentle dog, in excellent health, is house trained, crate trained, has lots of energy, loves walks, and is good with other dogs and children.  She is very social, wags her tail constantly, does well at the kennel and loves to ride in car.  She is spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations until March of 2012.  She is quite athletic and loves to run in the back yard.

Bear is a three and one-half year old male Cockapoo.  He’s looking for a new home with a more quiet environment.  He would do best in a home without children, or at least with children over the age of twelve.

Bear likes to help “parent” the children when they are misbehaving and tries to nip at them.  The owners are concerned that he might eventually bite one of them.  Most of the time, he is very loving and wants to cuddle with them, but it seems as if he gets a little over excited when they they do!  Bear is an indoor dog who is house trained, crate trained but loves to go on walks and to go camping with the family.  He goes to the dog park and gets along well with the other dogs there.  He’s lived with a cat and it worked out well!  Bear is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Husker is a delightful three year old neutered male that came to us from Wyoming.  He was an owner surrender due to health issues of his previous owner.  He is a black and white merle with two different colored eyes.  He’s a bit larger than your typical Cocker Spaniel, weighing around 45 pounds.

Husker is a little timid around men but seems to be very comfortable around women.  He does warm up to men with time.  He would probably do best in a home older children.  He can be a little leash aggressive so care should be taken on walks.  We’re not sure how he would react to cats.  He seems to be completely house trained, is crate trained and loves to play fetch. 

Husker is up to date on all of his vaccinations with his rabies due in September of 2012 and is microchipped.

Oh, hi! I’m so excited you want to learn more about me. My name is Sam and I’m a young, happy boy with tons of love to give. You might wonder how a handsome, one-year old pup like myself ends up in rescue. Well, let me tell you my story. I was part of a wonderful family and had lots of kids to call my very own. Everyone loved me very much, but I am just a puppy and I didn’t understand that little kids couldn’t play like puppies can play. My family decided that they did not have the perfect forever home for me and wanted me to find a family who could give me everything I need.

What do I need, you ask? Great question! I need PLENTY of playtime and love. I want to spend lots of time wrestling, running, jumping, rolling and kissing! I also love to snuggle. I’m really good at snuggling. Please remember, I am still enjoying the glory days of my puppyhood and I must go home with a patient family that can lovingly help me become a shining canine citizen. I love to find treasures – socks, bottle caps, paper…. Everything is so fun! I need someone who can help me remember that my toys are for me and everything else is for you.

I probably shouldn’t live with young children quite yet, but if you have another dog that would be fantastic. And guess what? I love cats, too! Ready for the icing on the cake? I’ve had lots of obedience training and I know my doggy commands. I listen really well, too. I just want to make you happy. Want to know something really cool? I am bell trained. I ring a bell when I have to go potty so you can let me out. Don’t I sound like a dream? My foster parents don’t think I’ll be around long – they said I’m about as great as a dog can be. Muffin was released when her owner moved into a senior living center that does not allow pets. This gentle four year old is a real cutie. She loves children, gets along well with other dogs and cats, and will follow you everywhere. Muffin loves to play outside or pass the time with her toys. She is house trained. She has a keen sense of hearing and even pays close attention to unusual sounds coming from the TV. She is used to spending time alone but enjoys being around people and loves to be the center of attention.

Muffin is up to date with all of her vaccinations. She is spayed and will be microchipped for you.  She is a mostly black and white tricolored pure bred Cocker Spaniel.

Chelsea is a senior female that is looking for a new home.  Although she is around eight years old, it’s hard to tell by looking at her.  She doesn’t have a speck of gray!  She’s active and very loving.

Chelsea is a small girl, only around 20-25 pounds.  She’s mostly black with a little brown here and there.  She is house trained and can be trusted off-leash, although we always recommend that dogs be on a lead in high traffic areas!  She does have a thyroid condition that requires her to have daily medication that is reasonably priced.  She is spayed and will be up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped for her new owners.  She is an owner surrender.  She is a darling girl that responds well to her name and knows basic commands.  She’s starved for love and hopes that you will be the one that will give it to her.
