Chloe has a pending adoption application. You can still apply with the understanding that she may not be available.
Announcing, Chloe, 4 yr old tri color from KS. Chloe is about 22-24 lbs and very fit.
She is very shy and timid, being a mill mama kept her secluded from all that is a puppy and dog.
She knows very few commands as yet, but we are working on that.
She is learning what toys are, treats and playing. We are working on her people skills as she is quite nervous around them.
She does not seem to be a barker as originally thought nor a piddler.
She does very well with other dogs, shows no agressions, is house and crate trained. We do not know at this time of her disposition around cats. She is working on leash training and is still wary of leashes.
Chloe is doing well getting a bit more socialized, but has quite a way to go.
She has finally got the hang of the electronic dog door and she is now eating all of her food and drinking plenty of water.
She is still very spooked with people moving around but is trying to come closer each time her foster Mom sits still and calls her name.
She finally accepting treats from hand. And her lil’wiggle tail does go prety fast when her and her foster sister “play”. She is not sure of the toys other than she likes herding them all into one room for safe keeping!!
She is a quiet, sweet and very timid little girl who needs time and patience with her to learn what life can be like.
She will be an Amazing family member for some lucky family one day soon.
Oh and did we mention, she is beautiful!!
All immunizations are up to date and she is micro-chipped.

Micki has an adoption application pending!
Micki is approximately 2 years old. Micki is all black with the tiniest of white speckling on his legs and head. He is as sweet as you can imagine, he is a real Casanova with everyone he meets. He loves to be petted and thinks he is a big lap dog. Micki and gets along with other dogs (after an initial adjustment period) and he just loves older children. He has not been introduced to children under 10 or cats so his reaction to both is unsure at this time. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and is micro chipped.
Micki came to Denver in November 2011 from Hiawatha, Kansas. He was matted quite badly, but after a bath and a groom he is a very handsome chap, so silky soft. He is not quite sure of the leash yet so he does have a tendency to pull and dart. Micki has learned about crating at night and figured out the dog door the first time he went through it. He is not an excessive barker and is very gentle when receiving treats. He is playful but still learning what a toy is.
He loves to run and investigate every little corner of the yard and can be outside for up to an hour at a time. Micki is highly alert to open doors and he has a tendency to try to escape. He would be very hard to catch if he not stopped or his behavior modified. We have recently learned that Micki likes to skooch under the frnce or try leaping it. Micki would do great with a companion about his age or a little older to help him learn the ropes and play with. We have also recently found that Micki is food agressive, so we would urge his being fed away from other dogs. He also rides well in the car and loves watching the traffic lights.
If you are interested in meeting Micki, please make sure you have completed an online adoption application.

Cooper has an adoption application pending!
Cooper is coming into rescue because his owner is facing surgery and will have a lengthy rehab period. She feels that a new home will be better for him than shuffling him around during that time frame. Here’s what she has to say about this seven year old tri-colored male:
He loves, loves, loves to fetch and chase balls. He is happiest when he is at the park or the dog park playing. Cooper has never lived with small children but when we encounter them, he just sits and lets them do whatever to him. He has been known to sit at a childs table with little girls and have a tea party. He has no objection to wearing the hats they put on him so I am sure he would be great with kids. He loves women but is not crazy about men in caps or men with beards. He will eventually warm up to them but it may take awhile.
Cooper does not shed. I love that about him. He has very soft, curly fur and he likes to be brushed. He sleeps on his own bed in my room and has been known to run in his dreams. Pretty funny to watch. He is not crate trained. He has a pretty good vocabulary and obeys very well.
If I could pick the perfect home for Cooper, it would be a home where the new parents own and not rent. Moving alot seems disruptive to him. I would love for him to have a yard and a doggie door. He would be great with a single woman or a family with kids and/or another dog. As long as he is walked and exercised, he is a great dog. If he is not exercised, he will let you know that he is bored and may potty in the house. I would like to know that wherever he ends up, his new family will know that there will be an adjustment period and given a little time, Cooper will make the family so happy and he will be a great dog and a loyal friend.

Howdy folks! My name is “Paddy”! My foster mom sings Knick Knack Paddy Whack Give The Dog a Bone, and I know that means I get TREATS!!! I am only 2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all my shots, and ready for all kinds of fun! My foster dad loves to play ball with me! I will run and fetch and run and fetch until his arm gives out. I love squeaky toys, and I love my foster parents! I will snuggle with the other dogs at their house and love my pack of wigglebutt friends! I am already housetrained too! My foster mom tells me that is a bonus. I am praying for a home of my own with people who will love me forever. I need a home that is adult only, or has children over the age of 12. The older kids will play fetch with me and understand doggie rules better.
Paddy’s adoption fee is $200.00. Transportation from Kansas to Denver will be coordinated for any potential applicant. Paddy is up to date on all routine vaccinations.
This is a cross post for another rescue. If you’re interested in Paddy, you can contact:

Annie and Santa at Tagawa Gardens
Annie is an unknown mix breed that came to rescue as a Cocker mix from a shelter in Bennett, CO, where she was picked up as a stray. We estimate her age to be around 7-8 years old. We’re unsure of her mix, but her face reminds us of Chihuahua, although there could be some Beagle or Daschund in there, too. She has been spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is a very healthy, active, and affectionate little girl.
Annie is very intelligent and loves human attention. She loves toys and will play tug and fetch with you as long as you are willing. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She has not been around children while in foster care, but she has dealt very well with both children and adults in public settings. She is very calm, sweet, and loving, and enjoys going on walks and investigating her fenced back yard. She is completely housebroken. She has not been crated and has proven to be trustworthy when left free to roam the house when no one is at home.
This wonderful girl will make someone a great companion. If you can find it in your heart to give her a forever home, please fill out one of our online adoption applications.

Cecilia is an eight year old Cocker Spaniel mix. Her face is 100% Spaniel, but her tiny body may have a little Shih Tzu or Lhasa Apso! Whatever her lineage, she’s a doll! She weighs less than 22 pounds.
Cecilia was surrendered by her owners to an animal shelter. She had kennel cough and bad dental problems. She thought she heard them saying something about sending her to Asia because she was a senior with health issues! After all, she’s only eight! Fortunately, the vets at the shelter treated her kennel cough, another Good Samaritan vet took care of her dental problems, and now that she’s in foster care, she’s a happy girl!
Cecilia was supposedly surrendered because she was not housebroken, but she most certainly is. Of course, if her owners didn’t let her out regularly, she didn’t have a choice, did she? She has a doggie door at her foster home and she knows how to use it. She gets along with the other dogs and the cat in her foster home. She likes children, but would prefer older kids since those under the age of seven are so much more active. Although she’s not quite ready for retirement, she would appreciate a quieter environment.
She doesn’t care for the crate and has proven to be trusted to be allowed to roam free in the house without any destruction or accidents. She knows “sit” and “down” and is more than willing to learn. She loves to run in the fenced yard and will chase toys and balls as long as you are willing to toss them. She also loves to go for walks and although she pulls just a little on the lead, she isn’t overly aggressive. She is great in the car. Oh yes, and she loves treats!
Cecilia is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. All she needs is a loving forever home. Even though she’s eight years old, she still acts like a youngster. This little girl would make a wonderful companion! One look into those brown eyes and you’ll see what we mean.
