Coco is a 5-6 year old male Cocker Spaniel. He’s brown and white and up to date on his vaccinations. He is an owner surrender. He will need to be neutered prior to adoption. We will also ensure that he is microchipped.
Coco would probably do well as an only dog. Otherwise, he would need to be in a situation where he’s the dominate one. He tends to be protective of his family and does not like sharing attention and will let other dogs know this without a doubt. He is kennel trained, house trained and does not jump fences. He is also fine with cats and children.
If you are interested in meeting Coco, please make sure you’ve completed an online adoption application.

Rocky is a three year old brown and white parti-colored male Cocker Spaniel with a full tail that is looking for a new home
Rocky lives with a very active senior couple. Until recently, he had a canine companion, but now he’s an only dog and he doesn’t like it when his owners leave him alone. His owners do not really want to take on another dog at this time in their lives, so they felt it was best to find Rocky a new home with perhaps some kids and at least a new canine friend!
Rocky is beautifully colored, is in excellent health, has been neutered and micro-chipped and is impecably groomed. He is crate trained and house trained. He has been to obedience training.
If you are interested in meeting this wonderful boy, please make sure you’ve completed an online adoption application.

Star’s real name is Estrella, which is Spanish for “star”. This little girl is five years old and is a beautiful cinnamon color with white markings. Star spent her first couple of years making puppies. Because of her breading history, she has some bare spots on her back side which may or may not fully grow back. This comes from the fur being worn off by the cage in which she was kept.
Star is remarkably social due to her history. She loves people and is good with other dogs and cats, although she would prefer to be the alpha. We will not adopt to Star to homes with children under the age of twelve. She is spayed, has all her vaccinations and is micro-chipped. She is doing very well on her house training in her foster home. She is eager to please and would be a devoted pet to someone willing to give her a home.

Shasta is an adorable small black and white female Cocker Spaniel that was found as a stray with her best friend Pierre (a black and brown Cockapoo). They traveled from eastern Kansas to Denver in hopes of finding a new home. So far she is nothing but sweet and quiet. She met her foster family’s cat and showed little interest and is good with their other dogs and kids. Although she would like to have a home with Pierre, as long as there’s a loving person to keep her safe, she’ll be content.
Shasta is spayed and is up to date with her vaccinations. RMCR will make sure that she is microchipped for you in case she ever decides to go on another adventure! She is comfortable in a crate and does well on a leash.

Chaps is a very affectionate and playful 5-year-old neutered male. He loves playing with the other dogs, though he really does not understand about chasing balls! His facial expressions are adorable–his foster mama is always laughing at his cute little face. Chaps has all his shots and is completely housebroken. He has free run of his foster home day and night without incident. He can be crated, but it hasn’t been necessary. Chaps is not very good with cats–he chases them and barks at them, so he’d probably do better in a home without them. He has only been exposed to children at adoption events, but has done quite well with them there. This little boy is so cute and affectionate–he will probably find his forever home very soon.

We think Squash was so named because of his coloring. He a three year old golden/red sweetheart who is a taller Cocker boy. He is a total lover and adores having his tummy rubbed! He know sit, come, off, down, and cookie, and we’re working on wait. He let us bathe him in the sink, use clippers on him, and trim his feet, so he should be fine at the groomer. He is neutered, up to date on his shots, and microchipped. Squash likes chasing balls, but hasn’t figured out how to bring them back yet! He gets along well with his foster mom’s cats and the other dogs, and he spends all his time at her feet or on her lap. Squash is crate trained and house trained and waiting here patiently for his forever home.

Sassy is a four year old black and brown female Cocker Spaniel that was a puppy mill mother that her current owners adopted from the Humane Society last February. She displays some typical traits of puppy mill mothers that will take patience and training to overcome. Along with the fact that there’s a new baby on the way, the owners feel that this new obligation will take time away from working with Sassy’s training and is looking for someone willing to give her the attention she deserves.
Sassy is crate trained and enjoys nesting in her crate. Due to her history, she has some house training issues that are resolved by using the crate. She is doing well on the lead, especially with the help of a gentle leader. She absolutely LOVES to play ball and is awesome at bringing it back and never seems to tire of the game. She gets along with other dogs, but we don’t know about cats. She should be fine with older children, but we would caution aginst toddlers just in case.
Sassy is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She’s super sweet and healthy, so if you are interested in meeting her or would like additional information, please complete an online adoption application.

Here’s little Silver. His coat is chocolate with a silver sheen in the right light. He is a beautiful 4-5 year old boy who loves the entire world. He gets along great with cats, people, and other dogs. He is completely convinced he is a lap dog and loves attention, especially petting. Silver knows sit, come, off and cookie, and we’re working on other commands. He is crate trained but has free run of his foster home without incident. He chews only his own toys, is completely housebroken, and is a total Velcro dog who just wants to be at your side at all times. Silver has all his shots, and is neutered and microchipped.

Marley is a very affectionate and lively little one and a half year old boy. He loves chasing balls and squirrels and snuggling on laps. He knows sit, off, move, and come–and of course, cookie! He plays very well with the other dogs, shows no resource guarding behavior, is completely house trained and crate trained, and has gotten along very well with the adults and children who have petted him at rescue events. Like many dogs, he loves to shred tissues, so we keep the box off the floor! He has all his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped, and would love to shower you with puppy kisses in his forever home.

Charlie Brown is approximately seven years old and is being surrendered by his owner due to a change in family dynamics.
Charlie’s owners have had him since he was a puppy. He is a wonderful dog in almost every respect but he does not like children. They just had our first child one year ago and feel that they cannot allow them to be together without worrying that he might act aggressively towards her now that she has become more mobile. Charlie loves to give and get attention and is generally very sweet. He is smart, has had obedience training and is completely housebroken.
Charlie is up to date on all of his vaccination and is neutered. He is currently on a small dose of medication due to a recent thyroid issue and is responding well. Charlie is crate trained, but prefers not to be crated when his people are home, although he will occasionally go into his kennel to sleep. He has been known to be protective of his food. He likes to play with his toys, especially his rubber chicken and squeaky soccer ball. He likes to nap on the couch and go to the dog park.
If you are interested in meeting Charlie, please complete an online adoption application.
