Hi, I’m Beatrice, a shiny black Cockapoo with a thin white stripe down my chest and a little white under my chin. I’m supposed to be 9 years old; however, my foster parents think I’m more like 5 years old due to my playful nature and energy level. I prance and dance and wiggle my little tail a lot when I’m happy. I seek out petting and loving from my people. I’m a little shy around strangers, but once I get to know you I’ll follow you everywhere. I sleep in an open crate at night (no need to lock me in) and when my people are not around. They trust me not to make a mess when they are out. I’m a quiet girl who is housetrained and I get along well other other dogs. My previous owners had a noisy, busy household that was a little overwhelming for me. I would prefer a quieter home without young children.
I had my teeth cleaned recently and I’m microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Aspen has a pending adoption application! You can still apply with the understanding that she may not be available.
This little cutie’s name is Aspen. She’s a Cockapoo and is around four and a half years old and weighs around 20 pounds. She is an owner surrender due to the fact that there have been changes in family dynamics and she’s not getting the attention she deserves.
Her owner thinks she would be best with a couple or single person who can devote their undivided love and time to her. She is a sweet gentle dog, in excellent health, is house trained, crate trained, has lots of energy, loves walks, and is good with other dogs and children. She is very social, wags her tail constantly, does well at the kennel and loves to ride in car. She is spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations until March of 2012. She is quite athletic and loves to run in the back yard.

Bear is a three and one-half year old male Cockapoo. He’s looking for a new home with a more quiet environment. He would do best in a home without children, or at least with children over the age of twelve.
Bear likes to help “parent” the children when they are misbehaving and tries to nip at them. The owners are concerned that he might eventually bite one of them. Most of the time, he is very loving and wants to cuddle with them, but it seems as if he gets a little over excited when they they do! Bear is an indoor dog who is house trained, crate trained but loves to go on walks and to go camping with the family. He goes to the dog park and gets along well with the other dogs there. He’s lived with a cat and it worked out well! Bear is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Ginger is a sweet, lovey-dovey little 10 year old Cockapoo who loves sitting by your side or snoozing next to you in bed. She loves to investigate under things and she is cuddly soft and doesn’t seem to shed any.
Ginger was an owner surrender to a local shelter due to traveling issues. Her previous owner loved her but was unable to continue caring for Ginger. She is a very sweet, gentle girl, she is house trained, somewhat crate trained but doesn’t like it.
She does well on a leash when it is accompanied by a harness. Ginger is a bit over weight, but her foster Mom is working on that with weight management food and short walks. She appears to have no other health or vision issues. She is a soft puffy white with buff markings around her tummy. She would be the perfect addition to a laid back family. Ginger has spent a few night sleeping with an 11 yr old so she is fine with older children, younger children are we are unsure of as yet. She does very well with other dogs, unless they go after her food, then she gets sassy. She has a sensitive tummy so she should not be fed-on-demand. Ginger is definitely an indoor dog. She is micro-chipped and current on all immunizations.
Think about this little lady as a forever addition to your family. If you are interested in Ginger, please fill out an online adoption application.

Today truly was a lucky day for a little boy named Tonic. Dumped at a shelter with his brother and sister at barely eight weeks of age, his future could have been very grim. Instead, he came to Denver. His sister caught the eye of Becca, but it was Tonic who would go home with them in the end. Wrapped in loving arms, their vehicle filled with everything he would need to grow up happy and loved, including the perfect little brown collar and lead, they took off to start their new lives together. Before leaving, however, they allowed us to capture the moment that will remain in our hearts for a long time to come. Have a good life, Tonic! And blessings be upon John and Becca! Because of you, Tonic is one lucky boy!

These darling 10 week old Cockapoo puppies are looking for a new home
The small one in the middle is a female and is named Gin. The two on either side are males and are named Tonic and Boo. All three have had their vaccinations.
These cuties were surrendered to a Colorado shelter because the owner had too many dogs and was unable to place them on his own. Of course, they will need your care and patience to provide house- and obedience training as they mature. At this age, they would adjust to any home and age group and should be able to socialize well with other dogs and cats.
If you are interested in meeting these puppies, please make sure you have completed an online adoption application.

Buddy is a five year old Cocker Spaniel mix (maybe Poodle if his face is any indicator) that came to us from one of the Denver shelters. He was an owner surrender. The owner inherited Buddy from his father, but didn’t feel as if he could give him the attention that he deserves.
Buddy is a long-legged and big hearted Cocker Spaniel. He is a gentle and loving dog that will blend with your family immediately. He gets along fine with other animals and enjoys children. He loves to romp in the yard and fetch balls and Frisbees. While he is at a perfect weight now, Buddy has had weight problems in the past and needs a healthy diet and plenty of exercise. He is house broken and spends much of his time indoors. Buddy enjoys the short cut of his recent grooming but his fur will grow out into a beautiful mane covered with curls. Buddy is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations and is microchipped, so all he needs if someone to love him for the rest of his life.
If you’re that person, please complete an online adoption application.

Hurry! This the sweetest, funniest, cuddliest dog!!!! If you want the good humor and love of a puppy that is housebroken and friendly with other pets and people, Bailey is your dog. He is Peter Pan at his best. He plays with balls and stuffed toys with happy energy and sleeps as if he turned off a switch. His heart is in anything he does. With long agile legs, he often walks across the floor on his back feet, head held high with the grace of Fred Astaire. His tail is long and very fancy. Like a boa, It swings and curls up and wags furiously. He is definitely one of a kind and you’ll wish that wasn’t so because so many people will want one just like him as you introduce him to your friends. He is Just barely house broken so you will have to follow through and if you want, He happily sleeps in a crate, except you will want to be near him constantly! Hard not to spoil this one! We recommend a home without toddlers as Bailey tends to jump up for affection and may knock them down. He’s great with kids eight and older.
Bailey is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Bailey, please complete an online adoption application.

Please note: Kaylea has been adopted. She is no longer available for adoption.
Kaylea is spayed female Cockapoo that is almost 2-1/2 years old. Her mom is having to relocate and cannot take her along. Here is what her mom has to say about her:
Kaylea is an indoor-outdoor dog, with freedom to be wherever she wants. She has a fenced (4 foot) back yard and has never jumped the fence. She loves to chase squirrels and would climb the apple tree if she could. She loves to play fetch with her sqeeky toys and can always be relied on to return the toy, but she likes to play a little keep-away, as you can see in the picture. She will “drop” her toys on command. She will also “sit”, “stay”, “lay down” (she thinks that means rolling onto her back for a belly rub). She will “come” unless she is tracking something with her nose to the ground, so I never let her run loose. I put her on a long lead out front and she’s very content. She loves long walks on the leash, and I use a harness for the occasional pulling ahead – she can’t wait to see what’s around the next turn. She lets joggers, hikers and bikers pass without any problems. She usually wants to sniff out any dogs. She does the shy “knee hug” sometimes when people want to pet her, but once they have, she’ll flop onto her back for tummy rubs. She has never, ever snapped at anyone. She has had brief tussles with other dogs, but it’s all show, and I think it’s just them sorting things out. She used to be best friends with a big lab-rotty mix, and they’d play and run together. She would try to pull toys out of Maggie’s mouth. She has lived with cats without any problem.
She is completely house-broken. Indoors, Kaylea is a snuggler. She will curl up next to me or on my legs when I’m relaxing. She sleeps at the foot (only) of my bed on her little blanket. She has a large wire kennel and will go into it when I say the “kennel” command, but I stopped having her stay in it while I’m at work once I figured out she’s not a chewer or destructive. I keep the kennel door open and she often naps in it. I only use positive reinforcement for training. She loves her biscuit rewards. She is up to date on her shots and has never had any health problems.
