Toby is a three and one-half year old Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles mix who is being surrendered by his owner. They have a seven-month old child that is becoming more mobile and Toby is a bit jealous, although he gets along well with the older children and another dog in the house. Toby is neutered, is house trained (although he has a rare occasional accident in the house) and is up to date on his vaccinations (due February 2012).
Toby knows basic commands, knows how to use his doggy door, is very playful and loves his squeaky balls and his bones. He would be a wonderful addition to a home with older kids and other dogs. We’re not sure about cats. Toby has small siezures that have been diagnosed as not serious during which he seems to be snapping at flies. These seizures are not harmful to him or anyone else, however a potential adopter would want to share this information with their vet so that it can be watched in the future.
If you are interested in meeting Toby, please make sure you have completed an online adoption application.

Hi,
My name is Callie and I’m a 9 month old buff female Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles mix.
Since I’m just a pup, I’m still learning some things, but I’m a very fast learner! I am still working on being housebroken, but I am pretty good at waiting until I get outside to do those kinds of things! With some more practice, I will have that down too! I do like to chew on things, but if you give me some toys that I can play with, I will happily chew on those. I do really well walking on a lead and I’m okay when I have to spend some time in my crate too.
I love getting attention – I follow my foster mom all around and love it when she pets me! My favorite spot is right behind my ears. Pet me there and I am a very happy girl! I may be a little shy when I first meet you, but as soon as I learn that you are going to give me love, I will give you all the love I can!
I have been for a long walk at a dog park and I did really well with some dogs who were a little smaller than me; they said they were pugs and they were fun to play with! So, I will be ok with dogs about my size once I get to know them. I’m not so sure about big dogs though. There were some at the dog park and they made me feel a bit nervous. I’m not sure about kids and cats either; but I haven’t met either of them yet.
I can’t wait to find my forever home to get and give LOTS of love! If you’re interested in meeting me, please fill out an application.
Oh – I am up to date on my vaccinations and will be spayed and micro-chipped before I am adopted!

Eyore was so scared! He was in the shelter and whenever anyone came up to his kennel, he barked and snarled. Everyone was scared to try to get him out for walks and to clean his kennel. So, they were going to euthanize him. He had lived with his senior person all of his life, but his person had to go to assisted living, so a neighbor took him. The neighbor had too many dogs, so he couldn’t keep him and took him to the shelter. Fortunately, the shelter folks called RMCR. One of the volunteers went to the kennel, got a lead on him and took him out and petted him and calmed him down. Even though the rescue is beyond full, they took him in.
Eyore is three years old. We think he is a Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles mix. This sweet boy is neutered and had his teeth cleaned and he is ready for a forever home. He does well with all ages, but probably would do best in a home without young children. He’s up to date on his vaccinations and will be micro-chipped as well. He’s good with other dogs, but we recommend a home without cats.
If you are interested in Eyore, please complete an online adoption application.

Rex is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix that came to us from Arkansas. He is very companion oriented. He loves to be where you are and he loves riding in the car. He loves being in the house and is house trained and has a favorite chair he sleeps on. At night he likes to sleep in the bed with you. He has a basket full of toys and when he wants a toy he goes and gets it out of his basket. He also loves water – he loves to play in the water. His current family bought a kids water toy that has little things that move around when the water is on and he loves jumping in/out and playing or just playing with the hose up in the air. When he runs, he actually jumps. He is so funny to see running because he is like Tigger – bong, bong, bong.
Rex needs to be in a home without cats or other small pets. He is fine with other dogs and with kids. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered and microchipped.
If you are interested in meeting him, please complete an online adoption application.

My name is “Punkin” or “The Punkinator” as my foster mom calls me – she told me I have to be on a diet because I look like I ate an entire pumpkin in one setting! I am a happy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel girl, red with white on my chest. It is hard for my foster mom to tell if I am a purebred or a mix, but I hear her tell me I am “a real cutie pie” no matter what. I am about 5-6 years of age, spayed, current on my vaccinations and already housetrained. I am on antibiotics right now because I have a nasty cold or ‘kennel cough’ that I need to recover from after being in the shelter. I promise to be your best friend and I have lots of love to give. Big dogs and fast children scare me a little bit because I am so small, so I would love a home where I could be with you an snuggled up all the time. A peaceful and loving home – that is what I am longing for… Call about me today!

JoJo is a petite framed (18-19#), beautiful black and white parti Cocker/Cavalier (we think) kid, who absolutely loves to be the center of attention and love. This baby doll is a ‘love sponge’. She will follow your every footstep to stay by your side and be immediately in your lap when you sit. JoJo gets along wonderful with other dogs, but her main priority is her human companion.
