JASMINE ‘Jazzy’

This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered.

 
Meet “Jazzy Jasmine”! She is a precious black/tan petite American Cocker Spaniel girl who is approximately 10 years of age and in excellent health. Jasmine likes to walk a mile every day and is looking for a loving companion who will continue those daily walks with her to stay in good health! Jasmine is spayed with all vaccines current and current on all preventatives. This is a truly special girl. She is housetrained, doggie social, and loves to snuggle.

ADOPTION FEE:   Out-of-state adoptions may require an additional fee.

NOTE: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a veterinary reference on the adoption application. Home visits occur prior to each adoption. Understand that the adoption fee is not for the purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.

Mickey

Mickey is a two year old male that came to us from the shelter in Ft. Morgan.  He clearly came from a good and caring home.  He was already micro-chipped when he came in, and didn’t mind having his fur clipped.  He is very well-behaved and very affectionate.  He has not had even a single accident in his foster home, and has been allowed loose alone in the house without incident.  Mickey is quiet and loving and gets along very well with the other dogs.  Mickey is  current on his shots and neutered.

Minnie

Minnie is an adorable spayed brown and white cocker spaniel and is two years old.  She loves to play and chew on rawhides. She is a bit shy with other doggies but is learning to come and go with the pack. She is terrified of stairs when she is the last to go down or up. She is cuddly, loveable and willing to learn quickly. She will be great with a single woman who will give her lots of attention. She loves to go for rides in the car with her foster mom.  Sometimes she will piddle in excitement when mom gets home, but knows to poop outside. She should outgrow this behavior as she becomes more confident.

Lucy P

Lucy was presented to us as a Cockapoo, but we honestly don’t see much Poodle in the mix.  Her muzzle appears a little more pointed than that of a traditional Cocker Spaniel which may indicate some mix breeding.  She’s a wonderful little buff-colored girl who is very loving and fairly laid-back for her approximate three years of age.  Lucy is an owner surrender that came in with her pal, Lucky, after the sudden and unexpected death of her owner.  The wife works long shifts and cannot give them the attention they received from the husband who worked out of the house.

Lucy is up to date on her vaccinations and is micro chipped.  She seems to do well around children and other dogs.  We’re not sure about cats.  If you are interested in meeting Lucy, please complete an online adoption application.

Lucky P

Lucky is a wonderful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Cocker Spaniel mix that came to us from an owner surrender situation.  The husband was a work-at-home dad and spent a great deal of time with the dogs.  He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and now the wife doesn’t have the same luxury of staying home with the dogs.  In order for them to get the attention that they were used to, she has asked us to help find a new home.

Lucky is a very loving and lively little guy.  At a recent adoption event, the tried to protect us all from the larger dogs!  He gives kisses freely and is a joy to be around.  He is house trained, does well on a leash and is up to date on vaccinations.  He is also micro chipped.  He came into rescue with a female partner named Lucy, but does not seem dependent on her.  He does well around kids of all ages and smaller dogs.  We’re not sure about cats.

Winston

Winston is a Cockapoo that came from a shelter in Kansas and was adopted to a family who very sadly must give him up due to allergies.

We have been told by the vet he is around 3 or 4 years of age. He is house trained, but does rely on a doggie door if left home alone. Winston absolutely loves people. He will follow you wherever you go. He does not care much for a kennel because he does not like to be away from people. He will find his own little spot at the end of your bed each night and and give you that feeling of security. He knows the commands sit, come, down, and occassionally stay.
You would think there was a little retreiver in him because he loves chasing a ball!  He is great with children. Older children who could give him tons of attention would be best.  An ideal home for him would be someone who loves to have a dog in their lap all the time and is willing to walk him often or play ball. He has a lot of energy.  His biggest fault is his barking. He is very protective of those he loves. He does wear a citronella spray collar which helps control the barking. He knows when that is on he can’t bark but has a cute little grumble!

Kesha

Kesha is a four year old black and white female Cocker Spaniel that is being surrendered by her owner.  Kesha has decided that she wants to be the boss and does not get along with the other dogs in the home – a toy Poodle and a Cockapoo.  Aside from her aggression towards these other dogs, she’s very sweet and loveable and enjoys cuddling with her owner.  Currently, Kesha is in a foster home with another Cocker Spaniel and they get along just fine.  Perhaps it’s just the smaller dogs that she wants to rule!

Kesha is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines with the next round due in 2011 and the rabies towards the end of 2010.  She is house and crate trained.  She does cry for attention, but is satisfied when she’s acknowledged.  She’s had ear infections in the past, so care will need to be given to keep these under control.  She’s very gentle around children two and up, however we don’t know about cats.

Biscuit

Biscuit is a four year old who male black and white Cocker Spaniel that could be Sissy’s long lost brother since they look so much alike..  He will bark when he want out, or to play or to eat  He is full of life, wanting to be the center of attention.  He will do well in a home with a strong leader that will reinforce his training and let him know that people are his best friends.

Sissy

Sissy is a rambunctious six year old black and white Cocker Spaniel with a full mask over her eyes.  She loves to eat and play with the cats but adores going on walks and rides in the car. She also likes to play with her cousin Biscuit.  In reality, they probably aren’t related at all, but they look the same and came in to rescue together!

Baxter

Baxter is a darling five year old solid black mix breed.  We think he may be a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Pekingese. He is loyal and loving and came housetrained and willing to play. His favorite toy is a 16 inch rubber ball with 2 braided cords of rope that he can swing around and chase — by himself!!! For a little dog of no more than 15 pounds, he is a brave companion who rarely barks.
