Rex is one of three dogs from KS that lived outdoors in a pen with an igloo for shelter. He was not socialized and afraid of everything. After five weeks in a loving foster home he is becoming the dog he was meant to be. Loving, gentle, non aggressive, curious, sharing, friendly with other dogs, he now comes in and out of the house at will and with a little prompting. He is still a little skittish around strange or sudden noises but is quickly acclimating to freedom. He LOVES running around in the back yard and has learned what chew toys are. He is a sweet boy and will make a good pet. He has not been around children or cats so that behavior has not been assessed as yet.
NOTE: Rex was rescued with a dozen other dogs from a hoarding situation in another state where they lived 24x7 outside in a kennel with a dog igloo. He arrived to RMCR with Prince and Honey. All three started being timid and scared, but friendly and willing to explore.
If not already, Rex will be micro-chipped, neutered (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on his shots prior to adoption. If you would like to meet Rex to see if he is a good fit for your home, please fill out an Adoption Application online or contact us at 303-617-1939.
