Luke is a wonderful senior gentleman. He is bonded to Leia, they must be adopted together.
Luke has had 100% turnaround since we first got him. He is deaf and has low vision. He seems to be set in his ways. He needs help with steps. Luke forgets if he is inside or outside at times and has potty accidents. During the day he will have accidents but if you keep a close eye on him when he gets up it minimizes them. We don’t leave him loose if we leave the house, so we have a big crate in living for when we are out. Luke uses the doggie door likes being in the courtyard with our dogs. He has Cushing’s disease which is managed well with medication. He is my shadow and helps me in everything I do, he is always underfoot, so I must remember where he is. He just likes being close to people and doesn’t know when you move. Luke will sit on couch next to you, but needs help up. He likes his back scratched. Sleeps a lot during the day, might need to give him a soft nudge to wake him up. He needs to be crated at night or he wanders about all night, pitter patter of tiny feet. He goes into his crate, gets a few biscuits and is generally good for the night. Luke and Leia will hang out during the day sometimes and they will sleep next to each other now and then. Leia will sleep next to Luke’s crate at night. Luke and Leia are very good for each other.
He likes to run around in the yard or lay on the cold floor. He is 100% deaf.
