Lacy is a very sweet and affectionate dog. Being a puppy mill dog she is still fearful but she is smart and a quick study and with exposure to walking outside she has become more confident when approaching strangers and other dogs. She loves to play and is constantly wagging her tail. She is a quite smart and was easy to potty train. She can go on walks on the leash but pulls so additional training would be recommended. Lacy loves to be around humans and does have separation anxiety if left alone in her crate or in a room. She would do best in a household where the owner is at home or works from home. I would not recommend leaving her at home for long periods of time. She is quite comfortable hanging out in the house or office when her fosters are around. She can be a bit of a velcro dog! She is not destructive but is inquisitive. Lacy sleeps in her crate at night in our bedroom and is very calm but would not be if left on her own. Lacy deserves a home where her owners can interact with her on a regular basis and would not be suited to a household where she is left alone for long periods. She probably would do best with dogs her size and age. She seems a little bit fearsome of bigger dogs but would do well with a companion of her size and age. Please give Lacy a home with another small, young dog.
