Senior Male, 10 years old
Location: Lafayette, CO
Juju continues to be content and remains active. He is quite healthy. Juju still has a lot of life left and enjoys walks and attention. Does well with both humans and dogs. Cats unknown. Allergies are a chronic and long-term issue and are managed with medication, daily allergy serum, and special diet.
Juju has been in foster care for quite some time. When he was originally rescued in 2011 he had been living in a rabbit hutch and came to RMCR in a deplorable condition. He has now grown in a beautiful coat of hair. .Juju enjoys his days being independent and eating good food, taking car rides and going on walks.
Juju has done well with children and other dogs. He will however growl at another dog with a warning that they should get away if they are doing something he does not want them to be doing, like getting near his bone or his cuddle spot on his foster’s lap. His exposure to cats is unknown. But overall, Juju is kind, sweet, very loving and enjoyable. He is happy to go in the car, and to follow his foster mom and his companion dogs everywhere around the house being included in family activities. He is crate trained and house trained.
An adoptive family for Juju should be one who can afford allergy care moving forward. Juju is used to having a fenced yard and companionship of other dogs and having people around a lot of the time. Juju will not do well in a home where he would be left alone for long periods of time. Juju is in the early stages of doggy dementia. Continues to be content and remains active. Just needs to be reminded where he is sometimes and then he will stop howling. Gotta love Juju!
