Puppy Male, Under 1 year old
"In Dec 2016, I took a road trip from the streets of Kansas to Colorado. When I arrived, I often heard "Singleton", "don't touch" or "broken". I don't know what these mean, but I really enjoy spending my days and nights playing with my two 'foster brothers', chasing toys, going for daily walks and taking naps. I love my new life and have less anxieties, but I still request you ask or let me tell you when I want to be pet and we will be besties."

At less than 4 mos of age, Casey displayed much fear whenever a human touched him. It has been guessed Casey was an only puppy and not socialized properly, possibly a puppy mill pooch. Other guesses are Casey was constantly disturbed while napping and/or abused by a human hand - in just his first 16 weeks of life. Casey has matured and in just 3 mos, he will now come to a human and ask to be pet.
He will need another young/playful dog to continue to learn from AND a patient owner. Casey can only be around children who are respectful of his space. Casey deserves a home where he is not allowed to be the boss and has rules/routine to help reduce his anxieties.
Requirements: Casey will succeed in a forever home where he will be allowed to spend his first 15-30 days learning new house rules, adapting to a new routine and sleeping in his crate next to his human's bed. Due to no fault of his own, Casey missed his opportunity to be loved by touch and is too scared to cuddle with humans or be a lap dog. He gets the most enjoyment playing with other submissive dogs. He has made great progress in just 3 months and it's a joy to see him becoming a real dog, doing doggie things. He is very smart and trainable, but his active mind must have long periods of rest in between long activities.
