Koontz
Koontz is a very affectionate little six month old boy with somewhat unusual coloration–he’s dark brown with some gold and white patches, and he is just beautiful. As you can see from his pictures, he loves rawhide chewy toys! Koontz came to us from Kansas where he was in a high-kill shelter and was hours away from being euthanized when he was relayed to us, but he immediately settled into his foster home. He’s initially more friendly with women than men, but was playing with his foster uncle in the yard minutes after they met. He is fully housebroken, crate trained, and chews nothing but his toys. He has a little separation anxiety, as shown by barking for a minute or so when his foster mama leaves the room, but settles right down and plays quietly with the other dogs. Koontz knows sit, off, come, wait and cookie, and loves to give kisses and play gently with feet. He is neutered, microchipped, and has all his shots. He’s good on a leash. He’s just waiting for his forever home now. Koontz would probably do best as an only dog.
