July is for Grey Cats & Brown Dogs

on Thursday,June 18, 2009

You know how your social calendar can remain blank for days and weeks at a time, then suddenly everything exciting happens on the same day? Well on Saturday July 11th the volunteers of Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue will have to be in two places at once..

First, The Brown Dog School in Wheat Ridge, an awesome source for obedience training for your dog as well as great grooming; will be hosting its Annual Adoption Party from 11AM-3PM.  RMCR will join the fun and help find forever homes for as many of our adoptable Cocker Spaniels as possible! There will be food, raffle prizes, doggie vendors and pet caricatures, with all proceeds benefiting local no-kill rescue organizations.

The Brown Dog School – Dog Training and Grooming Salon is located at 9900 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, for more information, you can contact them at 303-420-4468.

Also from 11:00 – 3:00 on both July 11th & 12th we will be at Tagawa Gardens in Parker for the Grey Kitty® Birthday Celebration Animal Rescue Event. We will join several other local rescue groups for the festivities including Birthday cake & lemonade, and an educational petting zoo. And of course we’ll have adorable Cocker Spaniels available for adoption with us as well.

Tagawa Gardens is located one mile south of Arapahoe Rd. and one mile north of E-470, at 7711 South Parker Road.  The driveway is just south of Broncos Parkway, at Mile Marker 64.  Just look for the banner that reads, “Tagawa Gardens Turn Here.”

So wether you’re north or south of the Denver metro area, mark your calendar and come out to see us, support local rescues, and maybe find a new furry family member!
