Jack and Julie were looking for one dog months ago when they saw Cocoa on our website. Since Cocoa was an extremely shy puppy mill survivor, we asked them if they would consider fostering Swirl so that Cocoa would have her best friend as company. Swirl, also a puppy mill survivor, was also under-socialized and shy, but Cocoa and Swirl loved each other very much so Jack and Julie agreed to take the pair into their home. When they decided it was time to adopt, they couldn’t bear to think of keeping only one dog, so Cocoa and Swirl get to stay together forever with their family who love them both equally. We love happy endings like this!
