Chase’s Happy Tale

Jim and Kay had previously adopted Annie from RMCR last year. An avid Cocker lover, Jim began to volunteer transporting dogs from foster homes to the vet, meeting incoming transports and taking dogs to foster homes, and shuffling dogs from foster homes to adoption events. He was very adamant that Annie was “the only dog” and Annie agreed! That was until he met Chase. Chase came to us a very sick little boy. He had a liver shunt and was in danger of dying without surgery. The surgery was to be done at the Colorado State University Vet School in Fort Collins. Jim took Chase up multiple times in preparation for the surgery and also for the actual procedure and they developed a strong bond. Once Chase was well enough to be adopted, Jim couldn’t resist! Now Chase has a happy forever home with Jim and Kay and Annie doesn’t seem to mind too much!!
