AKC Announces ILP

The American Kennel Club announced the enhancement and renaming of it’s Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) Program. The new name, Purebred Alternative Listing Program officially took effect on February 1, 2008.

The new name more accurately describes the purpose of the program: allowing dogs that are ineligible for registration but are distinguishable as a member of an AKC registrable breed , to particiate in AKC Companion events and AKC Juniors competition.

The only thing that is consistent is that they all need lots of patience, understanding, love, and probably most importantly, unconditional acceptance of what their emotional limitations may be.
