Buffy
Buffy is a beautiful, 9 year old, buff colored, female American Cocker Spaniel who needs to find a new home without young children. She has been a beloved member of her current family since she was a little puppy, but now the baby of the family is mobile and Buffy is not handling the situation well.
Buffy has been spayed and is on daily thyroid medication and a special diet to help her deal with the condition. She can get along with dogs and birds, but she is really afraid of cats. Buffy knows basic commands and is house trained and leash trained. She has never been in a crate. She is not aggressive toward anyone or anything in general, but will nip if someone is ignoring her warnings when she is provoked.
Buffy needs a home without young children and with people who are experienced with Cocker Spaniels. She would do best with a couple who are home much of the time since she is not left alone much now. She is a great companion and loves the mountains where she currently goes quite often to her family’s cabin. In such an environment, she can thrive on the attention and be someone’s best friend for many years to come.
