Francisco’s beloved Cornelio went to the Rainbow Bridge on St. Patrick’s Day, he and his wife Valerie began their search for a new fur kid to fill the void. Valerie calls her husband “Saint Francis” after the Patron Saton of Animals, Francis of Assisi, since he has a heart for all animals. He fell in love with Barney’s picture and the real dog did not disappoint. As you can see by the pictures, Barney has a new forever home with two very happy people. We are so happy for all of them. Oh, and Barney was Valerie’s birthday present to Francisco…how perfect is that?
When Barney came to us about 10 days prior to his adoption, he was terrified of men. Thanks to our foster mom and dad Terry and husband Tony, Barney learned men aren’t all bad. Scott, our Vice President, also played a huge role in socializing Barney to be comfortable around men. Another team effort to rehabilitate and rehome a thrown-away dog pays off for everyone! We love happy tales!
