Barcelona (we call him Bart for short) is a lively Cocker mix –we think he might have a little Australian Cattle Dog in him based on his coloring and coat texture.
His story is one of the reasons we do rescue: he was seen being thrown from a moving car in Missouri! He was adopted by a kind lady here in Colorado and has had him for about a year, however a change in family dynamics is proving to be a hardship on Bart. He is very comfortable with his owner, but he’s not so fond of male family members and grandchildren. Sadly, she has decided that he would be better off in a home without kids, and preferably with a single woman.
Bart is healthy, up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. He is house trained and does well on a leash. He lives with another male dog and gets along well for the most part, but he would like to be the only dog in his person’s life. We’re not sure how he would behave if he were paired with a female. We’re not sure about cats, so a cat-free home is most likely in order. He has most likely had some training in the past. He has a toy box and loves to get into his toys and drag them all out and sit in the middle of them.
