An RMCR Milestone – 100 Cocker Spaniels Adopted!!

December 11, 2009 is a very special day for Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue!  Little Toby was adopted this morning and he is the 100th Cocker Spaniel adopted since the organization began back on February 17, 2009.

Of course, RMCR could not have done this single-handedly.  Many volunteers help rescue these special souls from animal shelters, kennels and puppy mills.  They freely give of their time to transport them, sometimes from other states, often donating medical care and transportation costs to get them to us here in the Denver metro area.  Others provide foster homes so that they will have comfortable, loving environments until their forever families come forward.  Donations and adoption fees allow us to continue that care until they are adopted.  Assistance from our special veterinary and grooming associates help us stretch those dollar even farther.

So, to those volunteers, and especially to our adoptive parents, congratulations on helping RMCR achieve this milestone!  However, this is only the beginning.  There are many more waiting for rescue.  Please encourage your friends and families to support our efforts.  We are always looking for foster families so that we do not have to turn down requests to save these  animals.

If you can’t foster, there are other ways to volunteer.  Please see our Volunteer page for more information.  We also welcome donations of cash, food, and supplies.  Remember that we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.   With your assistance, we will be here to help many hundreds more.
